Nordic Market - Cold weather needed to end depression

Prices at Nord Pool are dropping, mainly driven by falling oil, gas and coal prices. But several other elements are also contributing to the bearish sentiment this morning.
Q1-06 opened at EUR 39.50/MWh, but has moved downwards since. Nordic Market - Tricky market pointing north
Prices at Nord Pool opened north this morning, mainly on a firmer Monday spot than expected. However, all other markets are strongly up this morning, which helps push up the Nordic power prices as well.

Nordic Market - Getting in position
Nordic forward prices are easing off, after rising at opening. The weather forecasts are moving in the direction of more low pressure activity in the long-range period. Q1-06 opened at EUR 39.70, and traded as high as 39.85 before turning and dropping to 39.45, down 15 cents from yesterday.
