Nordic Market - Bull run continues on cold, dry weather

Nordic power prices are continuing their bull run on Wednesday, as there seems to be no end in sight to the extremely cold and dry weather.
The Q1 11 contract was last seen at EUR 81.50/MWh, up EUR 2 day on day, while Q2 11 was up 95 cents at EUR 61.85/MWh. The contracts have risen 12% and 8% respectively since the last trading day before Christmas. "Prices are continuing up because players realise that the hydropower situation is very bad even with normal weather going forward,” said Pål Johannesen, portfolio manager
