Nordic Market - Back up

Prices are shooting up again Thursday morning on stronger oil and regained strength for coal, but the market is extremely volatile and nervous.
The Q4-08 price was last traded at EUR 72.00/MWh, up two euros from yesterday, after being lifted to EUR 73.25 in early trade. YR-09 has been traded between EUR 65.25 and 68.20 so far this morning, and at the time of writing was at EUR 66.15 up 2.40 from yesterday. The long end of the curve is mainly being driven up by rising prices for crude oil, with the front Brent contract approachin

Nordic Market - Down after firm opening
The market opened upwards Wednesday morning, as forecasts are still quite dry and fuel prices are climbing further. However, the long end has eased off from the top, among other things due to somewhat weaker coal prices.
