Nordic Market - Approaching 250

Nordic power prices keep climbing today, and the summer contract is approaching 250 NOK/MWh. According to market players, the spot price is the conclusive factor.
“The market is pulling in one direction. Everything looks bull at the moment, and the spot price is the most important factor. A weak spot on Monday sent prices down by 10 NOK, while the strong spot yesterday lifted prices 15 NOK from Monday’s low. The market opened up several notches this morning, after yesterday’s dip, on drier weather forecasts and climbing CO2 prices. The bellwether SO-05 is currently being traded at 243.75 NOK/MWh, the highest level since September last year.
