Nordic Market - "300 before Midsummer"

The Wednesday morning market was thin and marginally up. “And anything can happen ahead, but I will be surprised if the autumn contract doesn’t reach 300 NOK/MWh before Midsummer,” a trader at a Norwegian producer argued.
There are possibilities in both directions, but today the next six to seven days are dry, the trader maintained. Nordic Market - Unstable forecast, stable system
With dry weather outlooks this morning, V2-04 was lifted above its former high at 287 NOK/MWh in an otherwise thin market. "The overall situation is characterised by unstable weather forecasts and a strong, stable spot,” an analyst said. "But as long as rain isn´t delivered prices will continue up," a Swedish trader maintained.

With dry weather outlooks this morning, V2-04 was lifted above its former high at 287 NOK/MWh in an otherwise thin market. "The overall situation is characterised by unstable weather forecasts and a strong, stable spot,” an analyst said. The weather outlooks were turning towards a less bullish scenario this morning, and the market corrected down a couple of NOK. Traders said today that prices most likely would not continue higher in the times ahead either.
