Market - Too early to call the winter off

Fuelled with more mild forecasts, the Wednesday market has adjusted down on low volumes. But there is no big momentum to the downside, and a Norwegian trader warned that it is too early to call the winter off yet.
The bellwether V1-04 contract opened at 250 NOK/MWh in the OTC market today, but soon adjusted below yesterday’s closing price, mainly due to yet more mild forecasts.- The market finished strongly yesterday, and with the 10-day forecast being slightly drier this morning some players obviously decided to continue these movements. The Tuesday market opened up on slightly drier forecast, but the upside quickly lost momentum and prices stay around yesterday’s levels. A Swedish trader argued for more downside ahead, expecting the winter season to reach 315 NOK/MWh within a couple of weeks.
