Market - The only way is up

The Friday market opened down as weather prognoses show more precipitation next week. In the thin morning trading most contracts lifted again, however, a raise applied to marginal pre-weekend shopping. Market - Why be modest
With a spiky Monday spot at 334.77 NOK/MWh along with low expectations for precipitation the morning market gapped considerably. That the market is now lifting into the sky should surprise no one, however, and a Norwegian trader argued that a system price at 500 NOK/MWh before Christmas is not at all unrealistic.

Market - Why be modest
With a spiky Monday spot at 334.77 NOK/MWh along with low expectations for precipitation the morning market gapped considerably. That the market is now lifting into the sky should surprise no one, however, and a Norwegian trader argued that a system price at 500 NOK/MWh before Christmas is not at all unrealistic.

Market - More bull for Christmas
The bull trend seems clear and the overall morning market lifted several NOKs, before correcting somewhat down again towards noon. V1-03 is expected to steer towards new heights ahead, and according to a Norwegian trader we have now reached levels at which a touch of fear for very high winter prices is present. “A thin, volatile market should be expected, but the only sensible thing to do is to stay with the trend,” he argued.
