Market - Summer-thin

The Tuesday morning market was dead quiet, and trades were only seen in the OTC- market, with the exception of the nearest weeks. V2-03 corrected down 11 NOK at open, seeing that weather forecasts were a little wetter than yesterday, but strengthened somewhat during the thin morning trading. A Swedish player said that everyone is just watching over the market, not playing.
After the big lift yesterday, players stayed completely still this morning and turnover at Nord Pool was close to nil. Turnover in the OTC-market was thin too, but prices fell at open before strengthening during the morning hours. V2-03 corrected down to 310 NOK/MWh at open, but climbed back to 216 NOK/MWh at the highest. Weather forecasts are somewhat wetter than yesterday, so consequently the

Market - Do the raindance
The Wednesday market continued the correction from yesterday, seeing that one more dry day disappears from the weather-map. V2-03 was down more than 10 NOK during early morning trading as a consequence, strengthening somewhat later, and like yesterday the market was summerly and thin. An analyst argued this morning that the only cure for a high-price scenario ahead is rain. Lots of it.

The Wednesday market continued the correction from yesterday, seeing that one more dry day disappears from the weather-map. V2-03 was down more than 10 NOK during early morning trading as a consequence, strengthening somewhat later, and like yesterday the market was summerly and thin. An analyst argued this morning that the only cure for a high-price scenario ahead is rain. Lots of it.

The week started off with an incredible gap and V2-03 lifted 25 NOK to 320 NOK/MWh. Weather outlooks are very dry and everything points north, a Norwegian trader argued this morning. Stop losses contributed to the size of the lift, while at 320 NOK/MWh sellers arrived and prices sagged down 10 NOK, before strengthening again.
