Market - Spring bear going bull?

The Tuesday market was lifted with weather forecasts pointing towards lower temperatures. Possibly the spot has reached the bottom for now, traders said, but held chances open that there is still more to take out on the downside. Reports of little snow in the mountains keep coming in, and the price regime after the melting keeps the market uncertain.
The thin morning market was lifted a few NOKs, but there was little spectacle over the summer contract trading up to 224 NOK/MWh. The bear trend remains intact until it revisits the 229/230-level, and traders today are not convinced of the further developments. Market - Northern breeze
The Wednesday market resumed its northern path from yesterday pushing all contracts confortably up. Next week traded last at NOK/MWh 255 (+5.25) and Summer 03 was last traded at NOK 227.25 (+2). Today’s lift is mainly contributed to colder forecast for next week and repositioning.

The warm spring-weather leads the way for the bears, and the summer contract briefly traded below the 220 NOK/MWh-level this morning in an otherwise thin Monday market. Players said there could still be more to come on the downside, but the fall will nonetheless be limited as the weak balance situation holds back.
