Market - Some up, some down

The morning market was quiet, trading a little up but mostly a little down. The price level remains very much within a familiar range, while the weather outlooks are in a “good autumn pattern,” a Norwegian trader said. A trader at a Swedish production company did not expect too much of the weather ahead, having entered October already, arguing that both the upside and the downside are limited.
While the market has been biddish this week, the weather is in a low-pressure state. The nuclear trouble has kept the spot strong so far, but next week will not be delivered at the presently strong level, the Norwegian trader argued.- Right now we are cruising in a familiar price area, which is not very exciting. The weather is in a good autumn pattern though, with a type of low-pressure

Market - Drier, weaker and higher
The week started off with a weaker spot than expected but with drier weather outlooks, lifting the forwards several NOK while taking the front down at open. Prices continued up during the morning session, and a Swedish player said that the upregulation pointed towards a stronger Tuesday system price. A Norwegian player called attention to the fact that last week showed a weakening of the hydrological situation.

The week started off with a weaker spot than expected but with drier weather outlooks, lifting the forwards several NOK while taking the front down at open. Prices lifted back to and above yesterday’s close during thin morning trading, however, as the nuclear situation in Sweden remains highly unstable. “But at least we are getting some dates now,” a trader at a Swedish production company said. A Norwegian trader argued that the nuclear situation resembles the X-Files; you never what’s going on out there.
