Market - Some bear power

With wetter weather outlooks prices fell during thin Monday morning trading, V1-04 down to 355.25 NOK/MWh at the lowest. The Monday system price was weaker than generally expected, but still stronger than last week’s level. A Swedish trader argued that V1-04 would be traded down towards 340 NOK/MWh now, whereas a Norwegian trader characterized the present as sensitive times.
V1-04 was back in the 350s this morning, as the wet end seen last week was confirmed in today’s forecasts. The nearest days are dry, however, and the Norwegian trader maintained that although the weather outlooks are wetter than before the weekend, no more than normal amounts are expected.- These are sensitive times, and after all we are already in November. The Tuesday market was lifted a few NOK, seeing a somewhat drier end of the period than yesterday. V1-04 was traded back to the 360-level, and the market is entirely governed by the weather forecasts, a Norwegian producer said this morning. Another Norwegian player believed both the bulls and bears had run out of gunpowder.

Market - Falling
After the bullish beginning of the week prices are back down considerably, V1-04 trading more than 40 NOK below the peak yesterday morning. The outlooks for a weather change have reduced the fear, while volatility remains just as bad, or really good, as an international trader argued this morning. A trader at a Swedish production company held that the correction was very much anticipated.
