The Thursday market opened up from the weak Wednesday close, seeing the autumn contract locked at 208 NOK/MWh for much of the morning session, before it fell below yesterday’s close. Weather outlooks were marginally drier than yesterday, a Norwegian trader said, while a Swedish player said his focus this morning was very much elsewhere.
The Thursday morning market was exceptionally quiet. The weather outlooks did not look wetter than yesterday and the V2-03 contract stayed at 308 NOK/MWh for most of the morning, before falling back below 305 NOK/MWh.
