Market - Small steps

Prices are down across the board this morning, but the movements are low as players await less contradictory forecasts for next week. SO-04 has not tested the technical support levels around 204 NOK/MWh.
- The power balance improves all the time, and the spot price is down on its knees. Yet many players don’t dare to push the market further down yet. Eventually though I think we will see much more downside as we are now having a totally different energy landscape than we have seen for the last one and a half years, a Norwegian trader said.- The summer season was delivered at 240 NO

A very cold EC forecast pushed the market north this morning, and the summer season trades in the stronger half of its current range. Forecasts are very uncertain for next week though, and market players said this morning that they expected no big price changes during the rest of the week.

Friday’s bullish movements were firmly rejected this morning on the back of another unsettled forecast. SO-04 is down 8.25 NOK/MWh, but the market is hesitant to push prices further south.
