Market - Showing strength

A very mild and wet EC forecast sparked a correction in the strong bull market this morning which saw V1-03 opening down 14.75 NOK/MWh from yesterday. Too far, the market decided later, and prices have corrected up again throughout the morning underlining its strength. The early correction though show that players are ready to push the market down and an international trader said this morning that its getting ever more nervous.
- The market has gone from very nervous to even more nervous. Market - Swinging
The dry weather trend may have come to an end, and we see westerly autumn winds and precipitation arrive as we enter December, pushing the morning market down considerably but on low volumes. Due to the hard-pressed balance situation a weather change could be good news. The bad news today is the confirmation that three market makers are cancelling their MM agreements, possibly contributing to an even more jittery and volatile market situation, and placing more pressure on the remaining MMs.

The dry weather trend may have come to an end, and we see westerly autumn winds and precipitation arrive as we enter December, pushing the morning market down considerably but on low volumes. Due to the hard-pressed balance situation a weather change could be good news. Market - New records, but nervous
In a thin Wednesday market the Winter1 contract tested the symbolic 400 NOK/MWh level before settling in the same range as yesterday. Most of the contracts traded down early in the morning before recovering towards noon. Fundamentally the situation remains as strained as it has ever been, but the exit door may also be brutally narrow if the trend turns, a Norwegian producer warned.
