Market - Same, same

With much the same weather outlooks as yesterday, the Thursday morning market was a rather flat affair. Next week was traded below 340 NOK/MWh as temperatures remain high, while the summer contract traded around 242 NOK/MWh along with an almost unchanged forward curve. Players argued that the overall sentiment this morning is unchanged.
The nearest contracts naturally stayed temperature directed and fell a few NOKs this morning, while the forward contracts did not move noticeably during the morning session. Fundamentally the situation is unchanged from Thursday, and most contracts are trading more or less where they closed yesterday on very thin volumes.

Market - Power thriller to come
The Wednesday morning market opened thin and flat as weather forecasts were unchanged from yesterday, but the forward curve showed strength and was up a few NOKs from the Tuesday close. SO-03 traded up to 248 NOK/MWh during the morning session, but fell back with a weakening curve before noon. Traders continued to discuss the possible scenarios ahead today, and according to an international trader we could be in for a thriller this spring.
