Market - Rain, pain and gain

Signs were given yesterday afternoon that a correction could come today. V2-03 opened slightly down, but was lifted back above the 234 NOK/MWh level and traded up to 236.75. The weather forecasts remain very wet, so the lift is applied to profit taking. The fall has been fast and extensive, and players said this morning that the correction is simply a natural reaction of how steep it has been lately. And believed that it would continue down.
“The fall has been dramatic, and in that perspective the correction today is minor, probably held back by the extremely wet operational. If this type of weather continues I see no reason why prices shouldn’t come further down,” a Norwegian trader held. FreshA Swedish trader was of the same opinion, but believed that the spot should come under bet
