Market - Race to space?

The fundamental shopping continued this morning as the resources are weakening and the spot is strong. In Sweden the producers have gained full control while their Norwegian counterparts are slowly getting there, in what now seems to be a dry August, an Oslo based trader argued today.

Market - Bull in the face
After a somewhat bearish Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday opened in the same mood before picking up rather quickly to above yesterday’s close. A trader close to Swedish production held this morning that the market remains quite jittery, as a filling up of the reservoirs would not take long if enough rain is delivered. He nonetheless remained a little bullish, as did a Norwegian trader close to production, who argued that the upside is formidable.

Market - Now, lift us up where we belong
A strong Monday system price lifted W2-02 above last Monday’s NOK 168 in an otherwise calm morning market. An international trader pointed out that the hydrological balance has weakened by some 10TWh over the last four weeks, and that this correctly constitutes the 30 to 40 NOK/MWh spot lift since.
