Market - Possible downside

After opening down this morning, the forwards resumed their bullish track from last Wednesday seeing the SO-03 trading above NOK/MWh 240 and the V2-03 above NOK 260. Players powernews.org spoke to earlier this morning expected the market to turn down later in the week due to more influx and wetter weather causing downward pressure on the system price. The weeks are 4-6 NOKs down from last Wednesday.
Today’s system price of NOK 247.08 was lower than many players expected before the break and NOK 15 down from the previous Tuesday. When forecasts also pointed towards an end to the high-pressure scenario from the coming weekend incentives were given to push the market down this morning.
