Market - Open mindedness

The Thursday lift became a Friday drop, and the contracts traded generally fell a few NOKs. The morning market was in a sleepy Friday mood, however, and without any clear weather signals and consequently the absence of a trend, it’s evidently not straightforward what to do or what to expect for the week to come.
Weather in all directions As weather forecasts go in all directions and change on a daily basis, the market is swinging accordingly and there is little to base a position on. Surely there are players with strong bull and bear leanings present, but according to a Swedish trader the most sensible behaviour at the moment is to stay neutral and to keep an open mind:

With a weak Monday system price along with changeable weather outlooks, the Monday market started off thin and red, but traded up towards noon. The risk premium in the weekly products has decreased, and according to a Swedish player the relation to the spot has become more sensible, while the forward contracts remain in a more neutral state. A Norwegian player pointed out that the producers are keen on producing at today’s price level, and that the summer contract is cheap.
