Market - Not winter yet

With even milder and wetter forecasts this morning the market naturally continued down. V1-04 traded in the 280s for the first time since early October, seeing that the winter isn’t here yet, a Norwegian trader said.
The weather outlooks have gone from cool and bullish on Monday to less so yesterday, and today all signs of winter temperatures and high-pressure weather were gone from the forecasts, the trader said.- It’s milder and wetter than yesterday and it’s surly not winter yet. V1-04 was slightly bullish before the Nord Pool open, but without difficulty the contract was traded down to the 270s during the morning session. Not many players consider the risk for a high-price scenario this winter likely now, a Swedish trader said, and was supported by a Norwegian who pointed to the unexpectedly weak spot.

The Tuesday morning market fell several NOK, seeing that yesterday’s high was modified. V1-04 was traded back towards 300 NOK/MWh, and a Norwegian player argued that prices would continue steadily down. A Swedish trader considered the future overpriced as well.
