The Wednesday morning market moved in unusually normal manners and opened up just a few NOKs, as weather forecasts were similar to yesterday. Some more bullish tendencies were presented towards noon, however, when V1-03 lifted to 483 NOK/MWh. A Norwegian player said that the Christmas spirit now seems to have entered the market, but argued that the outcome after the holidays goes in both directions.
Today’s modest morning movements gave some indications that the volatile, nervousness that has been the brand of the market lately possibly is coming to end. It is too early to say that all’s well with the Nordic power world this winter, obviously, but all signs of normalcy are nevertheless good signs.
