Market - Massive

The Friday morning market was in the same bearish mode that we have seen the entire week, and V2-03 traded down 3 NOK from yesterday’s close. A lot of precipitation has been delivered the last 24 hours and with expectations of a lot more, there’s nothing that can change the trend, players said today.
In Sweden some 760GWh was delivered the last 24 hours, which is 400% of normal. Norway wasn’t much worse when 740GWh was delivered. One of this week’s issues has been whether V2-03 would break through the 220-level, and this morning the answer was given as the contract came crashing down and fell to 116.50 NOK/MWh. Weather forecasts are soaking wet and the spot is expected to break down, so a couple of players we spoke with this morning, pleased as they were, believed in more bearish days ahead.
