Market - Less strong high, still felling low

The weather forecasts kept the morning market below yesterday’s level, opening marginally down from the Monday close, V2-03 trading down to 317.50 NOK/MWh. “The high pressure is less strong today, but generally I think we see a market without much self-confidence at the moment,” an international trader said.
A Norwegian player believed that the market was overpriced, but saw no significant downside at the moment either. With the ever changing weather forecasts and their interpretations, the morning market fell a few NOK. The Norwegian player pointed to the fact that the ensembles this morning were basically the same as yesterday, while the operational EC was wetter than yes

The Wednesday market continued down, seeing the low-pressure activities confirmed in the morning forecasts. V2-03 fell to 308 NOK/MWh, and a Norwegian trader characterized the confirmation of the western lows as the core reason for the morning drop. The autumn contract remains in a very familar range, but a Swedish trader did not believe the market would remain here for long.

The week started off with the anticipated gap, and the suddenly very dry EC prognosis took the autumn contract up 14 NOK. Prices fell back a little during thin morning trading, but remained well into the 320s. “The market doesn’t need the upside now,” a Norwegian trader sighed, and was supported by a Swedish, who believed the market was a little ill at the moment, and run by the shaky weather prognoses.
