Market – Just can’t stop lowing you

(powernews.org) - The Tuesday market opened up and remained just above yesterday’s closing levels in a relatively thin market. Attempts to speak of an upside this morning has generally failed, however, and producers and traders alike agree that the route ahead is first sideways before continuing south.
Under no circumstances will the summer be a repetition of last year, a trader said this morning, but added that the hydrological situation is not as precarious as it was in 2000. Market – Bear control
(powernews.org) - The Wednesday morning market came down with wet and mild forecasts, while turnover remained somewhat thin. A Swedish producer said today that it is going to take a long time to dispose of the relatively large hydrological surplus in the system at the moment and saw no sudden change in the downside trend.

Market – Once you pop, you can’t stop
(powernews.org) - The weak market continues from last week, and the downtrend is very much intact as Summer02 popped down to say hello to NOK 124 this morning. More precipitation than average has kept pouring into the system each week, and for now it appears that there is no end to the slide, an international trader said this morning. He argued that the very good hydro balance eventually will result in a much lower spot, and export is now becoming precarious.
