Market - It’s getting cheaper

The change towards higher temperatures and more precipitation was confirmed again today sending the weeks down some 150-170 NOK/MWh and the Summer 03 down 33 NOK. “The trend has turned”, said a Norwegian producer arguing that the peak price period is over.
“The trend has turned. The period with very high prices are definitely over as we see a marked change in the weather trend towards mild and wet weather”, the producer said. The weeks and blocks 3-4 are down around NOK 150-170 this morning while the Summer 03 is down 33 NOKs at NOK 225.55, passing last weeks low of NOK 244 with ease. The producer expected the blocks to continue down

But eventually most contracts started to head north again, and the blocks and Summer 03 are now trading up from yesterday. A Norwegian producer found the turn natural saying yesterday’s fall was too heavy.

Market - Springboard movements
Following yesterday’s springboard movements, week 3 is on its way down again today with the other weeks following more slowly. Summer 03 is also heading down trading last at NOK/MWh 260.00. A Swedish trader says the S0-03 is priced too low and should bounce above NOK 300 as soon as the weather forecast turns cold again.
