Market - Hit by the sun

Sunny weather has pushed day temperatures up and power consumption down during the last days causing the lowest system price for over a month (NOK/MWh 333.41) on Friday. Fundamentally the situation is unchanged from Thursday, and most contracts are trading more or less where they closed yesterday on very thin volumes.
Activity at Nord Pool is very low on Friday with a feeble turnover of 398.3GWh at noon indicating that many players are choosing to stay neutral over the weekend. The fundamental situation remains unchanged from yesterday with warm and relatively dry forecast, and most contracts are trading around yesterday’s closing levels.Players powernews.org spoke with this morning characterise

Market - In the red
The market is trading markedly south on Monday on a weak system price and continuous mild forecast. Next week was last traded below today’s system price at NOK 304.00 while SO-03 is down NOK 5.60 at NOK 235.40. Mild temperatures continue to put pressure on the front-end products, but it remains difficult to predict prices on the forwards ahead as hydro resources are scarce, and there is little precipitation in the south.
