Market - Higher and higher

The market is bullish, and players today believe that the dry forecasts finally are here to last. In the very short-term picture the upside is not all that great they argue, but within a couple of weeks – with a prolonged dry weather trend – the autumn contract and YR-03 have a potential to be lifted NOK 10, a Norwegian trader stated.

As the market keeps creeping up a NOK a day, the autumn contract went to NOK 164.50 as the highest this morning. Players do not believe in a sudden leap from here this week, however, and the market remains carefully bullish for the time being.

Market - Bear-drier?
Continued dry forecasts lifted the Tuesday market back up after the Monday afternoon drop. A Norwegian trader pointed out that the high pressures and low pressures are now circling around together, and remained somewhat bearish for what lies ahead as the hydrological situation remains good. A trader with a Norwegian producer was more bullish in the medium-long term.
