The morning market was quiet, but overall prices fell quite a few NOK seeing more wet weather forecasts. The spot is expected to collapse in not many days, and the trend is unambiguously bearish, players maintain. “It’s soaking wet. And these lows seem to have no ending,” a Norwegian trader said. “This doesn’t smell of 1996 anymore. It stinks of 1996,” a trader at a Norwegian production company said.
With new deep low pressures making their presence known, along with extreme amounts of precipitation delivered, prices were going in one direction only this morning. “Everybody” is waiting for the spot collapse, and traders we spoke with saw it coming in just a few days.Formidable downsideThis weekend the system price should come down towards 200 NOK/M
