Market - Gran Turismo 3

The name of the game is volatility and after the market had opened up, it came falling down, before attempting to lift back towards yesterday’s closing levels. A Swedish producer characterized the morning as “wild and crazy” and saw no particular reason for the correction other than profit taking, based on the brutal uptrend. A Norwegian producer argued that the possibilities of a changing weather trend helped trigger the red figures this morning.
VolatilityThe Thursday opening looked as if it were to unfold in the same manner as it has lately, lifting a few more NOKs. But not so today, as all of a sudden everything came tumbling down. The Swedish trader argued that this was rather undramatic, and simply a psychological correction after the steep elevation:

Market - Rain in vain?
The Friday market was in a relatively neutral state of mind after the significant correction yesterday, and players argued that the uncertain weather forecasts are the reason for this. And while the nearest products were lifted this morning, the forwards were all in red. A continued climb seems to be expected next week, however, as the current forecasts are not wet enough and the system price is expected to be strong, players said this morning.

Market - Fatal Production?
Another bullish morning market was lifted a few more NOKs as the weather outlooks remain cool and dry. An international trader argued that if the weather trend does not change, we are in for a weekly system price-lift of some 10 to 15 NOK/MWh. The main factor at this bullish moment, in addition to the weather, is that hydro production is too high, he stated.
