Market - Forwards stay strong

Warmer temperatures and the Easter holiday points towards lower consumption next week, and week 16 opened the day NOK 7 down on yesterday at NOK 247. Forecasts remain dry though, and the forwards stay around their Wednesday closing levels in a thin market.
“Fundamentally there is a slight upside on the forwards today. It seems as if the bidders are most aggressive, and this is mainly due to dry forecasts,” a Norwegian trader said this morning. The Summer 03 did indeed open strong today, trading as high as NOK 238 in the OTC market before adjusting down towards noon. The contract was last traded at NOK 236.25 at Nord Pool, which is on

The market opened down today as consumption is falling, forecasts point towards more precipitation and Forsmark 1 is back in operation after a temporary outage yesterday. But prices have adjusted up since the market opened, and have settled above the lunch-time levels of yesterday.
