Market - Expectant Monday

Following several busy and bullish weeks, the market has opened silent and cautious today. Most contracts opened more or less where they closed on Friday, and has been trading sideways throughout the morning. A Swedish trader explained today’s quietness with an overbought Winter2 contract and a strong system price.
The underlying resource situation is still weakening, and the system price continues up with the Monday prise set at NOK/MWh 183.85 (+17.92). Market - Winter2 stuck in a narrow range
The Winter2 contract are slowly following the weeks up on Tuesday while the other forwards are heading the other direction. Movements are low, and an international trader didn’t expect any big changes on the Winter2 towards delivery, but held that the Year03 and Summer03 are priced some NOK 5 and 10-15 too high accordingly.

Market - Winter2 stuck in a narrow range
The Winter2 contract are slowly following the weeks up on Tuesday while the other forwards are heading the other direction. Market - Too dry for the bears
Slightly wetter forecasts and profit taking have pushed the market down on Friday. A Norwegian trader argued this morning that the market is very much driven by fundamentals now, and that more bears have entered the market due to a more uncertain weather situation. – But the bears need much assistance from the weather to turn the trend, he said.

Slightly wetter forecasts and profit taking have pushed the market down on Friday. A Norwegian trader argued this morning that the market is very much driven by fundamentals now, and that more bears have entered the market due to a more uncertain weather situation. – But the bears need much assistance from the weather to turn the trend, he said.
