Market - Down, but...

The market turned down again today seeing the nearest week drop 5-7 NOK/MWh and the Summer 03 down back in the NOK 227-228 area. Players powernews.org spoke to this morning attributed the fall to wetter and warmer forecast for early next week. But the forwards should eventually continue up, they held.
“I think today’s drop is natural as the market lifted quite heavily throughout yesterday and forecast are wetter and warmer today. In general, forecasts vary a lot and I doubt it will be as wet next week as the EC have indicated. What’s certain is that we need really heavy amounts of precipitation to improve the resource situation, and I think the upside potential is far grate

The Wednesday market resumed its northern path from yesterday pushing all contracts confortably up. Next week traded last at NOK/MWh 255 (+5.25) and Summer 03 was last traded at NOK 227.25 (+2). Today’s lift is mainly contributed to colder forecast for next week and repositioning.
