Market - Cheap chills

With a weak Monday system price along with changeable weather outlooks, the Monday market started off thin and red, but traded up towards noon. The risk premium in the weekly products has decreased, and according to a Swedish player the relation to the spot has become more sensible, while the forward contracts remain in a more neutral state. A Norwegian player pointed out that the producers are keen on producing at today’s price level, and that the summer contract is cheap.
Predictability“The market needs more predictable weather,” the Swedish player said this morning, who believed that the current week would even out with both cold and mild weather, as well as precipitation, and should see an average of some 315 to 320 NOK/MWh. The weeks have had a strong reduction in the risk premium lately, but if some really cold weather return
