As expected, the Wednesday system price was fixed a few NOK below today’s, at 210.63 NOK/MWh (-6.40). The afternoon market lifted from the flat morning session, and the strengthening is applied to the high pressure building up. A Norwegian trader argued that despite the drier forecast, chances on the downside are better than on the upside.
The afternoon session was sparked off by German strength, as the Phelix peak was fixed at 42.91 EUR/MWh, base at 31.10 EUR/MWh, but no surprise was shown in the Nordic spot for tomorrow despite this.
