Market - Bounces back on drier outlooks

Drier forecasts have sparked a return north on the future and forwards this morning, while heavy rain continue to push downward pressure on the spot. V2-03 was last traded at NOK 306.50, up NOK 7.50 from yesterday.
The Friday market is a mixed affair with the closest weeks trading south due to heavy precipitation the last two days, and the rest of the market turning north on dry forecasts ahead. Liquidity is low though, with a turnover of only 363 GWh so far.Some 2 TWh of precipitation have been delivered during the last 24 hours, most of it in central parts of Norway and Sweden resulting in seriou

The market opened firmly down this morning on the back of more rain in the forecasts. According to a Swedish trader, prices are most likely to continue down in the days ahead, predicting V2-03 towards NOK 220 in a couple of weeks. A Norwegian analyst was more cautious.

The market opened firmly down this morning on the back of more rain in the forecasts. According to a Swedish trader, prices are most likely to continue down in the days ahead, predicting V2-03 towards NOK 220 in a couple of weeks. A Norwegian analyst was more cautious.

The Thursday morning market continued down, seeing high amounts of precipitation delivered the last 24 hours and more to come. V2-03 fell through 300 NOK/MWh, and a Norwegian trader declared that “players have certainly put on their bear costumes.” A Swedish trader maintained that the fundamental value of V2-03 has not fallen 50 NOK, but saw 280 NOK/MWh as the next level.
