Market - Bearstyle

To say the least; the system price is volatile. The May 17 spot was fixed well below expectations at 215.70 NOK/MWh (-43.14) and unsurprisingly the market followed on down. V2-03 traded through its 239 support level, and in one word the market this week can be summarized as bearish. V2-03 has fallen more than 20 NOK from Monday.
The last two weeks the drop has been formidable, as the autumn contract has gone from 272 to 237.50 NOK/MWh. YR-04 has been on a downward journey as well, and today managed to briefly dip below the psychologically strong support level 200 NOK/MWh. Next week has priced in a further weakening of the spot. Week21 was down some 14 NOK this afternoon, lowest at 234 NOK/MWh. With the Saturday

The Friday market was slightly bearish at open, strengthened as players were reorganising their positions, before it fell back with forenoon weather forecasts. Prices have fallen a lot this week, weather outlooks are wet as far as the eye can see, and a Norwegian trader characterized the nearest future as “rotten.” "The next two weeks the upside and the downside have the same potential," NENA said.
