The Wednesday morning market fell further with the outlooks of more mild weather ahead of schedule. Unsurprisingly SO-04 was met by buyers at 210 NOK/MWh however, and a Norwegian trader argued that much could have been taken out on the downside already. A Swedish trader agreed, and expected the summer to trade in a tight spread for the time being.
The price fall from 225 NOK/MWh to this morning’s 210 NOK/MWh was met with the expected support at this level. The Norwegian trader said that much had been taken out on the downside and that one now is dependent on receiving more snow other places than in Oslo.- The resource situation has weakened by some 2 TWh this January, so the summer contract would perhaps be more fairly price
