Market - A nuclear family, and rain

Friday opened down, seeing that the EC forecast was wetter than yesterday, but strengthened a few NOK during the morning session. And while players don´t expect too much to happen this Friday, Monday should take a more clear direction, a Norwegian trader said, as he was waiting for more news about the nuclear power situation. A trader at a Norwegian production company argued that it remains to be seen how the end of the forecast actually turns out.
V2-03 fell to 303 NOK/MWh at open, but lifted to 307.50 NOK/MWh during thin Friday morning trading. The morning market seemed relatively settled, as prices generally cruised just below and around the Thursday close. Market - Dry as dust, not well
The week started off with the anticipated gap, and the suddenly very dry EC prognosis took the autumn contract up 14 NOK. Prices fell back a little during thin morning trading, but remained well into the 320s. “The market doesn’t need the upside now,” a Norwegian trader sighed, and was supported by a Swedish, who believed the market was a little ill at the moment, and run by the shaky weather prognoses.

The week started off with the anticipated gap, and the suddenly very dry EC prognosis took the autumn contract up 14 NOK. Prices fell back a little during thin morning trading, but remained well into the 320s. “The market doesn’t need the upside now,” a Norwegian trader sighed, and was supported by a Swedish, who believed the market was a little ill at the moment, and run by the shaky weather prognoses.

With radically wetter forecasts this morning the market tumbled down several NOK, and V2-03 fell some 12 NOK. “The weather outlooks have been dry for quite some time, but now I think we should be expecting more low pressure activity and autumn storms ahead,” a trader at a Norwegian production company said.
