(Heren Energy) - Gas prices largely weakened at Zeebrugge on Wednesday, tracking a similar trend at the British NBP. Only the Day-ahead managed to recover early losses, ending 0.30 p/th above Tuesday´s close at 18.10-18.50 p/th.
The contract fell as low as 17.00 p/th in the morning hours but bounced back during the afternoon to touch 19.00 p/th. However, it could not hold onto this level until the close. A trader attributed the gains in Day-ahead to the approaching maintenance period of the Bacton-Zeebrugge Interconnector.
