GAS - Weekly Review

(Heren Energy) - Despite a bearish start to the week as the UK and Continent had mild weather, prices kicked up again on Wednesday as the UK system lost gas and the bull run gathered momentum at the end of the week.
The UK system was long on Monday and Tuesday and Within-day and Day-ahead contracts fell below 30.00 p/th.  This instigated a sell-off on the curve and Q1 04 lost 1.70 p/th over the two days to close at 30.20 p/th on Tuesday.  The turnaround came on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, however. GAS - Day-ahead moved up on a rising NBP
(Heren Energy) - Day-ahead moved up at Zeebrugge on Thursday on the back of a rising NBP, trading at around –0.55 p/th and –0.40 p/th basis to the NBP. Working-days next-week went through at 31.60 p/th and –0.70 p/th basis. Temperatures are expected to drop over the weekend before picking up again next week.
