(Heren Energy) - Despite the arrival of warmer weather as expected this week, prices at the NBP and Zeebrugge stormed up again on continuing supply problems. Demand in the UK was lower during the week as temperatures rose, although storage injection was still underpinning levels.
It was primarily offshore problems that drove prices up however and Day-ahead jumped from 30.50 p/th at the NBP on Friday to close at 32.00 p/th on Monday as the UK system lost gas rapidly late afternoon.
