(Heren Energy) - The closure of the Bacton-Zeebrugge Interconnector for annual maintenance was the main driving factor on the prompt this week, as many contracts started the week lower in response to the outage.
Day-ahead was traded on Monday over 2.50 p/th down on Friday’s close, while the day itself was characterised by system length. With the impact of the Interconnector outage uncertain, one participant suggested, “Day-ahead prices over the next few days will depend partly on what Transco does. If it takes action, this could set the tone for the rest of the week ”.Transco
