(Heren Energy) - Within-Day and Day-ahead prices were slightly firmer in Tuesday’s session on the NBP as the Franklin field stayed shut and other minor problems were rumoured offshore, but plenty of offers meant prices did not run away.
The UK system was balanced to slightly short throughout the day and demand was fairly stable, opening at 245.2 Mm3 and rising to 245.8 Mm3 over the course of the day. Within-Day prices swung around with the linepack but only within a penny range, opening at an intra-day high of 17.00 p/th and trading down to 16.10 p/th, before closing slightly higher at 16.80 p/th following Transco action.
