GAS: Front months rise on uncertainty

(Heren Energy) - Day-ahead at Zeebrugge traded between 23.00 p/th and 24.00 p/th on Tuesday, with the Belgium-UK Interconnector continuing to flow at reduced rates. Operator IUK said that the flow rats had increased through the pipeline to Zeebrugge due to improved gas quality emerging there.
Several traders reported hectic activity in the prompt ahead the beginning of a new month on Wednesday.  Among the front months, October rose firmly on the back of uncertainty regarding the reliability of Interconnector flows in that month and the contract traded frequently at a basis to the NBP of +2.50 p/th. November and December rose on the back of the bullish front month, dealing at

(Heren Energy) - Day-ahead at Zeebrugge traded up from a starting level of 26.00 p/th to a high of 28.00 p/th in the afternoon before slipping markedly later on to 20.50 p/th at the close, following an announcement by Interconnector operator IUK that a profile pigging operation would commence today and last until Friday evening.
