Oil prices are edging higher on Thursday, with WTI above the 26-month high it hit on Wednesday, after US data showed a 5.3m bbl drop in crude inventories, players said.
The WTI contract for February was last seen up USD 0.21 at USD 90.69, while the front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 93.79/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.14 on Monday's close.
In the previous session, the Brent front month settled USD 0.45 higher day on day at USD 93.65/bbl, while in New York the WTI February contract
