Crude in New York rose to its highest level in two weeks yesterday on the back of surprisingly weak inventory figures.
At the Nymex, crude for October was lifted by USD 1.78/barrel yesterday to end the day at USD 73.51, the highest level for two weeks.Prices rose after US inventory figures showed an unexpected large drop of 3.5 million barrels last week as import declined after the hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico.
