Commodities - UK gas firm

Crude oil, coal and carbon prices softened in trading Wednesday compared with the previous session, while UK natural gas prices stayed firm.
On the ICE exchange, Brent February prices closed at USD 94.37/barrel, down USD 1.17 compared with the previous session. InNew York, the WTI contract fell 66 cent to USD 95.67 on the NYMEX exchange.The softer crude prices was attributed to bigger-than-forecast jump in US fuel supplies and speculation the nation's slowing economy will reduce demand, according to Bloomberg news.
