Oil prices made a complete U-turn on Friday as a result of increased consumption and production disruptions in Nigeria. Bullish developments were also seen in the other fuel and CO2 markets.
After having peaked near USD 120 early last week, the WTI crude contract for June delivery traded around USD 111-112 later in the week, but on Friday the arrow pointed upwards again. The contract made the largest gain in a month when it climbed USD 3.80 to USD 116.32/barrel after having traded at a low of USD 111.77/barrel.
