Oil prices are rising in line with firmer Asian equities and a weaker dollar on Wednesday morning after losing USD 1 in the previous session amid concerns over the pace of economic recovery in the US, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands up USD 0.58 at USD 77.04/bbl on the ICE platform, while the WTI January contract on Nymex traded USD 0.42 higher at USD 76.44/bbl.
Meanwhile, the Brent contract ended Tuesday down USD 1.00 at USD 76.46/bbl, while the WTI contract shed USD 1.54 to close at USD 76.02/bbl.
