Oil prices look mixed on Monday as the dollar strengthens and market participants liquidate positions before the end of the year, players said.
On Nymex, the WTI January contract ended last week at USD 69.87/bbl, down USD 0.67 on Thursday's close. It was last seen traded at USD 69.64/bbl, a further drop of USD 0.23. The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 72.11/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.23 on Friday's close when gained 2 cents day on day to close at USD 71.88/bbl.
